Wooden House

Wood house is seen or considered by many people to be the perfect country or vacation dream home. Wood house creates a luxury old form architectural house design for today living. It is possible to build wood house to provide splendor, strength, design flexibility, energy efficiency, quicker build times, and better resale values.

As one of the oldest methods of building, wood house is built from joined timber as frame of the house. The knockdown system and pegged joints for each timber without any building material attached, such as nails, cement, screws or bracketing materials.
Housing is a natural green wood - wood for the construction of new wall materials. It is collected through the timber, timber processing, drying, production and processing according to different architectural form into different wall profiles, and finally to the construction site assembly, go through fire prevention, anti-corrosion treatment process, all components are completed in the workshop process. In addition to the main building, the electrical assembly, drainage, ventilation, heating and air conditioning, sanitary bath, matching decoration also will be completed.

Away from the noisy city here, away from the commercial sea smoke, when to lay down their tired bags, into the embrace of nature, a long absence, a return to basics feel, deserting you delight linger.

Building wood house offers many advantages to the home owner. Reclaiming the wood from old barn or old building structure can help to cut costs and add a gorgeous patina to your new home.  As mentioned above, wood house stands for energy efficiency. The wall and roof system are built around the timber structure to provide continuous thermal envelope which allows increased levels of insulation inside the walls.

Construction:
*  Dug into hillside for low visual impact and shelter
    * Stone and mud from diggings used for retaining walls, foundations etc.
    * Frame of oak thinnings (spare wood) from surrounding woodland
    * Reciprocal roof rafters are structurally and aesthaetically fantastic and very easy to do
    * Straw bales in floor, walls and roof for super-insulation and easy building
    * Plastic sheet and mud/turf roof for low impact and ease
    * Lime plaster on walls is breathable and low energy to manufacture (compared to cement)
    * Reclaimed (scrap) wood for floors and fittings
    * Anything you could possibly want is in a rubbish pile somewhere (windows, burner, plumbing, wiring...)
    * Woodburner for heating - renewable and locally plentiful
    * Flue goes through big stone/plaster lump to retain and slowly release heat
    * Fridge is cooled by air coming underground through foundations
    * Skylight in roof lets in natural feeling light
    * Solar panels for lighting, music and computing
    * Water by gravity from nearby spring
    * Compost toilet
    * Roof water collects in pond for garden etc.

The warmth character made from wood house is another attraction for people to start making new one of their dream home to be true. But, like any type of wood structure as furniture, timber frame, or handicrafts, it is friendly with termites, fungus, defects or rots. This problem can be fixed by using the fine quality hardwoods and proper treatment when those are constructed and right maintenance so there will be no homeowner nightmare of mice sound and crawl on their wood home.
